Rocky Mountain Top Drive

We didn’t have any great plans for today and since we were a little sore from mountain biking yesterday, we decided to take it easy.  We drove to Copper Mountain and thought we would check out that ski village.  Unfortunately, they didn’t have much going on there, so we drove on the town of Leadville.  I had read that it was a quaint mining town with antique shops.  We drove to took the scenic Rocky Mountain Top drive.  Leadville was a busy town because they were preparing for a mountain bike race.  So our choice of restaurants was limited and unfortunately our lunch was not the greatest.  After lunch we walked down the street and shopped a little.  IMG_7432

On the way back to Silverthorne, Steve stopped at a scenic stop so I could take pictures of Lake Dillon.
