Mountain Adventure

Wednesday, we headed back to Breckenridge for a little adventure.   We had decided to try mountain biking down the ski slopes! 

First we had a little lunch at a tiny little bistro.  The food was delicious and the weather was gorgeous.  Then we headed to rent some bikes so the fun could begin!

After figuring out how to switch gears we headed up the gondola to the top of the mountain.  The bikes followed us up to the top.

The view from the top.  We had looked at the map and found a blue trail that went all the way down the mountain into town.  Unfortunately part of it involved a black trail.  Oh my word, that was hard.  I walked my bike most of the way down.  It was scary.

Most of the blue trails were closed on the path we took and we ended up on maintained roads and black trails.  Steve took the first spill, but recovered.  Christopher took a spill into the bushes, but immediately bounced up and I took a graceful fall towards the end.  After several wrong turns, we eventually saw a residential street through the woods.  We took the streets back to town.  Although a little sore, we would try it again.
