Yellowstone & The Grand Tetons–Day 3

On Friday, we finished the loop through Yellowstone.  We headed back towards Canyon Village, but continued on through Hayden Valley.  When we reached Hayden Valley it was early in the morning and the sun was shining.  We happened upon several large herds of bison.  It was amazing to see them up close!

After we made our way through the valley, we stopped to see some mud volcanoes.

Then we went to check out Lake Yellowstone. Christopher went down to the water and picked up a rock for Ian.

After lunch, we left Yellowstone and headed back to Jackson Hole.  We planned to spend the rest of our time in Jackson Hole and the Grand Tetons. We made a stop to stretch our legs in the Grand Tetons.  We were set to hike, but the mosquitos got the best of us.  So we let the Christopher skip rocks and Ian throw them for a bit.

It was late in the afternoon, but we stopped at the Snake River Overlook and did hike for a bit.
