Headed to Colorado

Saturday we packed the car and headed out for Colorado.  We were on our way to meet my parents in Silverthorne for a week of rest, relaxation and an attempt to escape the heat in Dallas.  We had thought that we would be heading through Amarillo and could stop at one of the Man vs. Food (one of C’s favorite shows) restaurants there, but our GPS had different plans.  We instead headed towards Oklahoma City.  There we veered slightly off our path so that we could dine in another Man. vs. Food,  The Steak and Catfish Barn.

The place was a dive, but oh so good!  Steve and I ate the catfish and C had a burger.  After Steve said the catfish was “a little taste of fried heaven",” C tried it.  Turns out he actually likes it!

After our lunch we were back on the road.  We drove through Oklahoma, Kansas and finally made it to Colorado and stopped for the night in Limon, Co.
