Road Trip to New Ulm

School for me officially ended on Tuesday and Ian’s last day was Wednesday.  On Thursday we loaded up the car and headed towards Erika’s house in New Ulm.  Ian was well stocked in the back seat and finally got to have his car seat turned around! He was pretty excited.  We stopped in Waco to eat lunch and play for a bit.  He was able to get his wiggles out and took a nap until we reached out final stop!

Finn was ready to greet us as soon as we pulled up!  Last time we were in New Ulm Ian was just crawling.  This time he was able to run free and be a boy!  Erika and Finn showed him the chickens and he of course loved being chased by their dogs.

Ian is all about trucks right now and got to ride on their tractor.  Alan took him out for a ride and he loved it!

On Friday, the boys played for awhile together in the house.  Then we did a little experiment with sponge capsules.  Alan went out to mow soon after they finished.  Ian ran from window to window watching him on the riding lawn mower.  Pretty sure every window Erika has is now covered in Ian fingerprints!

That afternoon we headed to swim with some friends.  It was such a nice afternoon until a storm blew in!

On Saturday morning we got up to leave.  Ian was in tears.  He did not want to leave Camp Restivo!  He cried all the way to town about going back to see Erika and Finn!
