My busy little boy, you rarely stop going from the moment you get up until it’s time to sleep. You go go go. You are in to everything and want to try it all. If you could be outside all day long you would be the happiest little boy on the planet. Currently you are obsessed with our neighbors dog, Ginger. You like to spend your afternoons outside looking for her. Lucky for you on warm afternoons, she is outside with the kids. You find it hilarious when she kisses you.
You are able to point to your head, nose, mouth, feet, belly and ears when we ask you. You had eyes, but got confused when we taught you ears. Now when we read books, you love to point at the pictures and label them. You also love to listen to songs. You do several of the hand motions to “wheels on the bus” and love to listen to Old McDonald.
It seems everyday you say a new word. The words you can say now include: hi, bye, nigh nigh (night, night), ca (hot), five, do (door), da (dog), eat, more, all done, owl, nose, eye, ear, ou (mouth), car, nana (banana), poon (spoon), E (Ian). ra (rock), shoe, train, choo-choo, up, chair, wa wa (water), ju (juice), ree (tree), ba (ball), no, baoo (balloon), cra (trash), tinky (stinky), whe (wet) and finally da da/da dee (daddy). According to daddy you have also said “Ma Ma,” but I haven’t heard it.
This past month you spent more time at home than at school. Between the ice storm, the flu and holidays you were at home a lot! I certainly enjoyed my time with you! You loved the holiday decorations and insisted that the lights on the trees be on ALL the time. As soon as you came down the stairs you would start pointing at them and saying “ree, ree” until we turned them both on. It was the cutest thing. You also had an obsession with the fireplace being on too!
