We are walking! Sunday afternoon, Ian finally put all the pieces together and started walking. He has been taking steps for the past few weeks. He never went more than 5 and most of the time it was just 2-3 steps. He would fall and not want to try anymore. He had however become more interested in holding our finger and walking. He could do it one handed and balance pretty well. On Saturday, he figured out he could grasp my finger and walk me to places around the house. So we walked to the back door, the front door and garage. We checked all the areas out. On Sunday after some serious prodding he took off when I stood behind him with my arms slightly to the side. He walked from the hallway into our bedroom and fell. I picked him up and he walked through our bathroom and into the closet where Steve was. We then turned him around and he took off! He walked all over the family room, kitchen and living room. He would fall and we would pick him up.
Today he is standing up himself without thinking about it and is oh so proud of himself!
