This past weekend we drove up to the lake to enjoy the Fourth of July festivities with the family. Ian and I drove up on Friday and enjoyed some pool time. My parents got him a mini pool for the back porch! He enjoyed crawling in and out of it!
On Saturday, Steve and C drove up with the brisket. The rest of the family also descended upon the lake house! We enjoyed a busy afternoon and lots of good food. Ian enjoyed his first cupcake.
Towards dark, we headed to the boat docks so we could watch fireworks. Ian wasn’t sure what to make of it all and it was nearing his bedtime.
Scout and McCartney entertained Ian by jumping off the boat. He loved it! He would watch and then then move his head around searching for them as they appeared in the water. Too fun. I imagine in the next year or two he will be doing the same. His little legs were just kicking away as they jumped.
Finally, it was dark enough for fireworks. He loved them! He would listen for the sound and watch as it started on the ground and then tilt his head up to the sky!
