This year we headed to the lake for some family time on the 2nd. We started with some swimming at the pool and then had dinner. My dad spent the day smoking chickens while my mom made brisket. We had an enormous spread of food! After dinner the kids went outside to do pop its. They had so much fun!
Then we headed to the lake for the real fireworks!
We sat on my dads dock and watched the fireworks being shot right over our heads! All the kids loved it and so did the adults.
