On Friday, Steve and I took a tour of his home town and then drove up the coast to Galveston. Along the way you could see the
hurricane damage to many homes and
businesses. One home we passed looked like a doll house. One side of the home was taken off and you could see the bed still made and a
TV on a dresser. My brother-in-law and Sister-in-law also drove back through Galeston. We took different routes, but we were lucky enough to arrive about the same time. So lunch together was in order. The only thing missing was Christopher. His mom picked him up that morning so he could visit with her family. He would have like the drive up the coast though.

Off roading ~ due to hurricane damage a part of the highway was damaged. We drove on the sand until we found the road.
